CPO Villa de Mazo

POC Villa de Mazo:

Welcome to the first Permanent Orienteering Circuit on the island of La Palma, in the beautiful Villa de Mazo.

We are in a small municipality with just under 5,000 inhabitants, located 500 meters above sea level, and known to the world for its trails, museums, culture, and traditions.

A must-visit is the Belmaco Archaeological Park, one of the main archaeological sites on the island of La Palma, where remains from the pre-Hispanic era can be found.

A visit to the Casa Roja Museum is also recommended, an impressive 20th-century building located in the heart of Villa de Mazo. The upper floor currently houses the Embroidery Museum (a local tradition), while the first floor is dedicated to the Corpus Exhibition Center, which celebrates the Corpus Christi festival, the town’s most significant cultural event, declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest.
