POC Villa de Mazo

POC Villa de Mazo:

We welcome you to the first Permanent Orienteering Circuit on the island of La Palma, in the beautiful Villa de Mazo. This is a CPO certified by the Spanish Orienteering Federation with the code CPO-CA 4.

We are in a small municipality of just under 5,000 inhabitants, 500 meters above sea level, which presents itself to the world through its trails, museums, culture, and traditions.

A must-see is the Belmaco Archaeological Park, one of the main archaeological sites on the island of La Palma, where artifacts from the pre-Hispanic era can be found.

A visit to the Casa Roja Museum is also recommended, an impressive 20th-century building located in the heart of Villa de Mazo. Currently, the upper floor houses the Embroidery Museum (a rich local tradition), while the first floor is dedicated to the Corpus Information Center, celebrating Corpus Christi, the town’s largest cultural event, declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest.
